PivotTable Crashes when adding a Calculated Field
I haven’t seen the pivottable error discussed in this article since I started using Excel 2003 but I thought I would post it in case others are still having this nasty little problem. I’ve never used the recovery program promoted by the article but you may want to check it out for yourself if you are experiencing this problem.

Other functions of it include sorting out, counting or totaling the data stored in a table or spreadsheet. PivotTables are frequently used to extract statistical information from raw data.
